CSAB Counselling 2021:

The CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) provides admission to the candidates on the basis of JEE Main All India Ranks (AIR). CSAB, NUET are Separate portal for North Eastern States & Union Territories (NEUT). CSAB only conducts counselling for a special round which is conducted after the completion of all rounds of JOSAA. This round is for vacant seats in NIT, IIIT & GFTI, IIT do not participate in the CSAB Counselling. For IITs you have only a chance for JoSAA Counselling. There will be the 2 Rounds of counseling conducted through CSAB for the candidates for their seat allotment. Counselling conducted for admission will be taken to UG degree programs in the first year of Engineering/Technology and Architecture/Planning Programs on supernumerary seats in NITs.

A Central Counselling Board (CCB) constituted by the Govt. of India coordinated admissions to UG degree programmes in Engineering, Technology and Architecture in respect of selected institutes till 2012. From 2013 onwards, CCB and AIEEE have been renamed as Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and JEE (Main) respectively.

CSAB 2021 Registration:

With the help of given steps. the candidates can easily register themselves for the CSAB Counselling to get admissions through CSAB counselling.

Firstly Visit the official website for CSAB 2021: csab.nic.in

  • Click on the link for CSAB Counselling registration.
  • The candidates can register on the website using their JEE application form number and password.
  • Once they have registered, they can enter their JEE Main Roll Number and other information (as required)  for registration. Update some details such as Domicile, Gender, Nationality, and Category.
  1. The candidates would have to select their choice of courses and colleges for admission based on their preference.
  2. Once the candidate chooses their preferred course and college, they would not be allowed to make any more changes so they should select their option carefully.
  3. The CSAB Participation fee is Rs. 37,000/- for GEN/EWS/OBC, Rs. 17000/- for SC/ST which has to be paid online via SBI portal, this includes a processing fee of Rs. 2000/-.
  4. CSAB fee refund depend upon refund policy of Centralized Counselling.

Seat Allotment:

After successful registration, there would be two rounds conducted by CSAB, Two Rounds (Rounds 1 and 2). After the seats are filled in Round 1, then they conduct CSAB Round 2 which would be the final allotment of seats for the candidates.

Options accepted for CSAB Special round: There are options provided to the candidates regarding the choice of programme concerning the slot allocation. They are as follows:

  1. Freeze-Candidates accept the seat which is offered and does not wish to move to the second round. Since their decision is final, the candidates will NOT be considered in Special Round-II.
  2. Slide-Candidates accept the seat which is offered, but if they find a programme with better choices within the same Institute, they will accept that particular choice. If they are not selected, they will choose the first option given to them. In such cases, the allotted seat will be accepted and will be cancelled only if the candidate gets a better allotment.
  3. Float-Candidates accept the seat which is offered, but if the candidate is looking for a better institute allotment. In such cases, the allotted seat will be accepted and will be cancelled only if the candidate gets a better allotment in the second round. Such candidates will be considered in CSAB Special Round 2.
  4. Surrender and participating in next round-Candidates reject the seat which is offered, and they wish to participate in the second round for better choices. Candidates accept the seat which is offered, but if they find a programme with better opportunities in any other round.

CSAB Counselling 2021 Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility Criteria 01:Candidates who register for JoSAA counselling are eligible to take part in CSAB Counselling. Candidates who did not register for JoSAA counselling are also eligible to take part in CSAB Counselling.
Eligibility Criteria 02:Candidates should have at least 75% marks in the 12th Class Qualifying Exam conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST should have at least 65% marks in the 12th class.
Subjects:- Chemistry, Physics, Maths, 
Eligibility Criteria 03:Qualifying Marks in JEE 2021
Eligibility Criteria 04:Candidates who have accepted the seat and paid the partial admission fee through JoSAA can also take part in CSAB.

Documents Required for CSAB Counselling 2021:

  • Three passport size Photograph (same as uploaded in the JEE Main application)
  • Provisional seat Allotment letter
  • 12th class performance check
  • Undertaking by the candidate
  • Proof of seat acceptance Fee Payment
  • Photo ID Card (issued by govt./last attended school/12th class admit card)
  • JEE Main 2021 Admit Card
  • JEE Main 2021 Score Card
  • Date Of Birth Proof (10th class mark sheet)
  • 12th Class Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (if available)
  • Medical Certificate
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)
