Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore was established in 1918 for the purpose of training dedicated individuals to administer, administer, and provide medical care in the spirit of Christ through mission hospitals. It was regulated by the “Christian Medical College Vellore Association” which is a registered society of around 50 different Christian Churches across India and Christian organizations.

The Christian Medical College Vellore (CMC) is ranked amongst the topmost medical colleges in India. The university is permanently affiliated with The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. It offers several UG, PG, and diploma courses focused on the areas of Medicine, Surgery, and Nursing. Admission to Christian Medical College Vellore 2019 is through the entrance exam followed by a round of interviews. The university also accepts the NEET score for admission to the M.B.B.S. Program.

Mode of Admission Christian Medical College Vellore:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed the (10+2) Examination.
  • All candidates should have “obtained a minimum of 50% in the Undergraduate NEET 2023 examination. 40% for SC/ST candidates). 
  • As per TN Government and University guidelines, a candidate for admission to the medical course “must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together)/Bio-technology at the qualifying exam” (40% aggregate for BC, MBC, SC/ST candidates).

Campus:

Life on Campus- 

The majority of students live in the hostels (MBBS and BSc Nursing programs are fully residential; others allow day scholars). The Bagayam campus has the Women’s and Men’s Hostels for MBBS students, the Fitch Hostel for Allied Health women students,  the Dorothy Joske Hostel for Allied Health men students, and the Modale International Hostel for elective / visitor-observer students from overseas.

Extracurricular Activities-

The activities, organized by the Students’ Association with elected governing bodies, range from social service to sports and games to music, cultural events, and religious activities. An intercollegiate festival called Pegasus is organized every year, in July, with participation by students from various colleges across the country.

Women’s Hostel-

The hostel has been modified over the years to suit the needs of modernity; however, it still exudes a warm and friendly ambiance. The Women’s Hostel is run by the Women’s Hostel Association.

AIIMS, Gorakhpur is one of the new AIIMS established as a part of the initiative under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and family welfare, Govt. of India. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal is one of the seven apex healthcare institutes set up in India. In 2006, the foundation of AIIMS Bhopal, an Institute of National Importance, was laid by an initiative launched by the Government of India, known as Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. The AIIMS Bhopal started functioning in 2012 and has been envisaged as a super specialty hospital with 960 bedded capacity.

The AIIMS Bhopal is a huge facility spread over 150 acres with a large hospital complex, residential complex, hostels, College of Medicine, College of Nursing (Center of Excellence in Nursing Education), and other essential services. Currently, the capacity of beds in hospital services is 793 with 24 modular operating rooms, and 42 functional departments that include 22 specialty departments, 14 super specialty, and 6 other departments, serving an average influx of around 46,264 OPD per month and 1609 IPD patients per month.

Hostel:

Hostels for male and female medical and nursing students are located on the campus. The hostels have a running mess that serves 4 meals a day. There is a common room on each floor that is equipped with a television and has an Internet connection via Wi-Fi. The hostels are equipped with indoor play facilities. To facilitate outdoor games such as cricket and volleyball, the surrounding land has been prepared. The hostels have 24-hour security.

The AIIMS Bhopal Central Library is being built, which will serve the diverse needs of its readers efficiently. Online scientific and print editions of national and international medical science journals, good volumes of books, and a sound reading venue with access to international libraries and leading biomedical databases are provided. World-class library management systems, such as the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system, will be placed in the AIIMS Bhopal central library.

Auditorium:

The AIIMS Bhopal Auditorium is an impressive architectural building. It is octagonal in shape and the spectator’s gallery has a capacity of 1000 seats. The entrance to the auditorium is to the north. An outdoor amphitheater adjoins the auditorium for outdoor events. The auditorium will be equipped with a synchronized sound and lighting system and green rooms.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raebareli (also known as AIIMS Raebareli) was approved in February 2009 under Phase-II of Pradhan Mantri Sawasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) at an approved cost of Rs. 823 crores. AIIMS Raebareli is a medical research public institute & hospital, located in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, and one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences. It operates under the mentorship of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). The institute started its first OPD in 2018. AIIMS Raebareli offers a 5.5-year MBBS program at the UG level. Admission to the institute is offered through merit scores in the NEET UG entrance exam. AIIMS Raebareli campus is spread over 148 acres of land.

Facilities:

Hostel:

The college provides free Wi-Fi in hostels, academic block, OPD and AYUSH block. The classrooms are well-equipped in form of lecture theatres 1 and 2. For 1st year, the anatomy department has a proper histology lab with proper microscopes and a dissection hall with 3 cadavers.

Library:

The Central Library at AIIMS Raebareli is being developed to meet the assorted needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the Institute. The first batch of 50 students has been given a collection of textbooks on Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Community Medicine. Beginning with a collection of almost 600 references and textbooks on different subjects, the Library aims to cater for print as well as online issues of noteworthy journals, books, and magazines. Separate E-Library sections and reading sections have been planned for the convenience of the readers.
