Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology For Handicapped (AITH) is an autonomous Institution established in 1997 at Kanpur, U.P. under the Department of Technical Education (U.P.).The Institute is affiliated with AKTU, Lucknow for B.Tech Programs and to the Board of Technical Education (B.T.E) U.P. for Diploma Programs. The Institute is committed to a global vision where normal and disabled students study together. The Undergraduate level course is open for both (normal and disabled) whereas the Diploma level course is exclusively run for the physically challenged.

MODE OF ADMISSION:
The admission for B.Tech will take place on the basis of JEE Mains Counselling Procedure from this year so it is mandatory for a candidate to have appeared in the mentioned Exam as there is no direct admission process.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Candidates must have passed the (10+2) Examination or its equivalent examination from any recognized Board.
- Candidates must have secured an aggregate of 45% in PCM and 40% marks for the Reserved Category.

INFRASTRUCTURE:
The campus of the Institute is well connected to the main road. It is situated at a distance of approx 500 meters and well connected to the National Highway Grand Trunk Road.
The Institute Campus is spread over 15 acres. Well-furnished buildings have been constructed so far in the Institute. The Institute Campus is specially designed for Divyangs. It has a barrier-free infrastructure where people confined to wheelchairs may also reach different classrooms, labs, libraries, etc.
There are separate interconnected blocks for each department in the Institute. Comfortable movement of Physically Challenged students from one place to another is assured with necessary public services, meeting the norms and standards for physically disabled people.
There are separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus. There is a proper arrangement of ramps so that the students can reach each and every corner of the hostel using wheelchairs.
